The Conversations cycle begins this year's activities at the Casa de Mateus Foundation with a session dedicated to the Lusíadas of Luís Vaz de Camões allusive to the bicentennial of the monumental edition of this work by D. José Maria de Sousa Botelho Mourão, Morgado de Mateus .

The guest speaker is Professor João Figueiredo (University of Lisbon), author of several essays on Luís Vaz de Camões.

The session will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 3:00 p.m.

On that day, we also have the presence of António Fonseca and José Neves, creators and performers of "Força Humana", a show created from Os Lusíadas, performed the day before at Vila Municipal Theater, and José Luís Ferreira, Producer and co-director of the project.

The actor António Fonseca will also present his audio book Os Lusíadas como nunca os ouviu, complete, printed and spoken edition of the poem, of which excerpts will be heard.
