The vocal escape for the sacred repertoire was a genre developed before the Renaissance and was produced by Giovanni Pierluigi from Palestrina (1525-1594) the main model that was emulated in the eighteenth century by all European composers, including the current ones in the Patriarchal of Lisbon. The program "Pontos de partida", of Americantiga Ensemble, gives us the opportunity to listen to Portuguese works that followed the Palestrinian model, but adapted to the more modern taste of the Baroque.
