IICM Anniversary
The Casa de Mateus International Institute (IICM) was created on April 14, 1986, a few days after the creation of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, March 22. The IICM founders are all Portuguese universities and scientific institutions, as well as the Casa de Mateus Foundation.
Professor Fernando Real, rector of the University Institute that came to give place to the University, was also the first president of the International Institute Casa de Mateus.
Today, the president of the Institute is Professor Eduardo Marçal Grilo.
To mark its thirtieth anniversary, the IICM is launching this new website whose objective is to make known all its past activities and current and future projects.
