Mathieu Richard

studied Physics (Imperial College London), Economics and Political Science (Sciences Po Paris), and has been working in the last 10 years on the interconnections between energy policy and development, as well as scientific and social challenges linked to climate change. After living in Egypt and Latin America, he is based in Lisbon since 2005. From there he combines work on renewable energy projects across Southern and Eastern Europe with consulting activities in energy policy issues. Since 2009, he embarked on a PhD with the MIT Portugal program, while heading the Research and Strategy unit at Novenergia II Energy & Environment, an investment firm created by energy efficiency and renewable energy specialists.
