Filipa M. Ribeiro is a PhD researcher at the University of Porto and a visiting researcher at the EGOLAB-Autonomous University of Barcelona -research group on personal networks and communities. Her current research involves topics on ubiquitous knowledge, sociology of science, social and personal networks and diversity in higher education. She has a graduate degree in Journalism and Communication and a diverse background in science journalism, digital media, project management and science communication. After some specialization courses in Genetics and Law medical journalism and neurosciences, she obtained a master degree in Sociology of Science and Science Communication at the University of Aveiro.
