Duarte Calvão

Duarte Calvão is a Portuguese gastronomy critic. He is a journalist with a degree in Social Communication from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and worked in several newspapers until becoming well known on his daily page in Diário de Notícias, where during ten years (1999/2009) he gave advice and suggestions in his column "Boa Vida", dedicated to various elements linked directly or indirectly to the tourism sector. He is the coordinator of the Gastronomy Project of the Lisbon Tourism Association and director of the Fish gastronomic festival in Lisbon. He has two books published: Cascais 100 Maneiras and A Cozinha by Joachim Koerper. He also writes on the blog "Mesa Marcada".
